Hsp symptomen

What causes HSP disease? Is Henoch schonlein purpura contagious? How long does HSP last? Henoch-Schonlein purpura ( HSP ) is a disease involving inflammation of small blood vessels.

Hsp symptomen

It most commonly occurs in children. The inflammation causes blood vessels in the skin, intestines, kidneys, and joints to start leaking. The main symptom is a rash with numerous small bruises, which have a raised appearance, over the legs or buttocks. The most striking feature of this form of vasculitis is a purplish rash, typically on the lower legs and buttocks.

GI symptoms like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and bloody stools. Common symptoms include: Purpura: hemorrhage (bleeding) into the skin, mucous membranes and internal organs. Pain and inflammation of the joints.

Gastrointestinal bleeding at any place along the GI tract — mouth, esophagus, stomach or intestines. Inflammation of the kidneys. Most kids with HSP also have joint pain and swelling.

These symptoms can happen before the rash appears. HSP most commonly affects the ankles and knees, but other joints like the hands, elbows, and feet may be affected. Stomach pain usually starts a week after the rash appears. Henoch–Schönlein purpura ( HSP ), also known as IgA vasculitis, is a disease of the skin, mucous membranes, and sometimes other organs that most commonly affects children. In the skin, the disease causes palpable purpura (small, raised areas of bleeding underneath the skin), often with joint pain and abdominal pain.

Overprikkeld zenuwstelsel? Henoch Schönlein Purpura (HSP) is a type of vasculitis, which means inflammation of the blood vessels. The classic symptom of HSP is a red to dark purple rash, called “purpura”, which is often most severe on the legs and buttocks. Other symptoms include painful swelling around the joints and abdominal pain.

Due to a biological difference that they’re born with, highly sensitive people are more aware of subtleties and process information deeply. This means they tend to be creative, insightful, and empathetic, but it also means they’re more prone than others to stress and overwhelm. The rash is present in all cases of HSP. Other accompanying symptoms can include abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, arthritis, and blood in the urine.

Kidney damage is the most common and most serious long-term complication. Although death from HSP is rare, kidney disease is the leading cause. Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) affects the blood vessels and causes a spotty rash. The main symptom of HSP is a rash of raised red or purple spots.

Check if you or your child has HSP. The spots look like small bruises or blood spots. There are many different conditions that feature vasculitis. Each of the forms of vasculitis tends to involve certain characteristic blood vessels. Hsp symptomen
